Lu Jong

Tibetan healing Yoga

This Yoga practice was brought to the West by Master Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche, who has been traveling to different countries since 2000. In his wake, he has been sharing his teachings, his tantric knowledge, the valuable wisdom and Buddhist tradition with the rest of the world.
Lu means body and Jong means training or transformation. Lu Jong is an ancestral Tibetan practice from the Tantrayana and Bön traditions. The purpose of this practice is to free oneself from blockages on a physical, mental and energetic level. Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche has different ways of explaining it and this is one of the ones we like: Lu Jong focuses on the spine. The spine; Their health is closely linked to the health of the body. Our body can be seen as a tree, being our pillar in this exercise, the trunk. In the same way that the trunk is connected to its branches, leaves and fruits, so is our spine with our canals (veins and arteries), nerves, organs and extremities. The trunk, the spine, is the energy container or battery that powers the tree or entire body. If the trunk, if the column is strong and balanced, then it can feed, can supply or provide energy and food to all the parts that make it up efficiently. If the trunk or dorsal spine has a blockage or imbalance, it cannot provide as it should and therefore the rest of the body and / or the tree suffers from it, unbalancing it and can thus bring, as a consequence, a disease or ailment. In conclusion, the health of your spine is closely linked to the health of your body. And one of the many ways to keep her healthy is by practicing Lu Jong.
